The trap in the foreground in the boulder field |
The overhang of the internal walls are still evident; the trap must have been a good 2 meters in height at one time, many large stones being used in its construction. Of the three traps described, Trap 2 is by far the most interesting, as within 8 meters there are two small caves partially walled to form shelters, presumably for hunters? There are quite a few unwalled caves in the vicinity which are ? entrances underground and some evidence of blocking. Nearby is what has been described as another partially constructed trap, presumably to replace the other which appears to be of great age.
